我爬的这座山，沿着城市升起，半山腰有些精致小别墅，这不就是太平山吗？搭缆车，或是拾级而上，山顶都是能把海景城景山景一网打尽。如果天气宜人，行山的人又不缺兴致，就可以顺着旧山顶道下山，逐渐落回鳞次栉比的楼房之间。有少许短暂出世入世的意味。望下山脚的港湾，比维多利亚港确实袖珍了些，少了点珠光宝气，但也同样是两侧被城市灯火环绕，海面上偶尔有渡轮往来。夜色笼罩下，都有相似的宁静感。

我这歪理是越想越自洽，风景也是越看越眼熟。真没想到，兜兜转转，跑到了十万八千里外，最后一脚踏回了六年以前。

我走的这段下山小径没有谷歌街景，所以只好吃独食了。🤷‍♂️

In the evening, a fountain at Trafalgar Square, London, dances gently with the breeze. I sat there watching the fountain as it got totally dark, after getting exhausted touring the National Gallery.

今年十一月底，苏黎世突然下了很大一场雪，从第一天下午一直通宵下到第二天早上。第二天出门去学校，我一路看着厚厚的积雪，连连发出没有出息的赞叹。不过最令人让我啧啧称奇的，还要属这个和周遭环境格格不入的新鲜出炉的宜家纸箱了吧📦。现在越想越觉得这是我们生活在一个模拟世界中的证据，很显然就是生成这个纸箱的时候程序出了点故障，忘记把雪盖上去了。

湖海莫辨 / Lake or sea?

上个礼拜六回了洛桑。和朋友吃过了午饭，趁着微雨的天气一路闲聊，又闲逛到了湖边。从Renens一路走下，穿过洛桑大学的校园，跨过sport center旁边车来车往的马路，就到了这条静谧的小道。十二月份，树的叶子们早已零落。然而如同教堂的立柱和穹顶一般的粗壮枝干，照旧默默荫庇着这条往湖边的通路。

远处两个行人撑伞向我们走来。她们毛绒绒的白色小狗出溜在前面，蹦蹦跳跳，惹得我们很喜欢，直直看个不停。照面走过的时候，她们满脸微笑地与我们打了招呼，可能是因为她们很喜欢我们很喜欢她们的小狗吧。

路的尽头就是莱芒湖了，据说是西欧第一大湖，湖面广阔。不过天色晴朗时，也往往可以看见湖对面的依云小镇和层层雪山。然而冬天多云雾，今天的湖面之上只得白茫茫一片，什么也看不太见。只有不断延展，无边无际的湖面，和跟着冷风向岸边涌来的阵阵水波。刚一见这光景，一刹那间，我还以为我看见了海。

我在海边长大，小时候父母喜欢带着我去海边吹风踏浪或是游泳。直到有一次差点在海里溺水，之后就以沿海骑单车为多。大学也是在海边读的，每天早上从宿舍往外走两步随处一望就能见到大海。对于以前的我来讲，大海似乎是最司空见惯的一样东西。然而自从大学毕业，离开了海边之后，就再也没有机会长居在临海的城市了。

那天看见了如同大海一样的莱芒湖，我心里觉得平静的同时，不知从哪也泛上一阵失落。于此我不由得感叹了一句：我看着这湖有点伤感。朋友问我为什么，我也不知如何回答。

Graduation day (near the end of)

This photo was taken on Nov. 11, 2023, back to CUHK for a friend’s graduation ceremony. After the ceremony, the chairs were being stacked up for later removal. Above the blue chairs were pieces of decorative fabric of purple and yellow, the symbolic colors of the Uni. The way the fabric being hung reminds me of the waves on the sea, but upside down.

I walked around the campus that day, and took many photos. Maybe it’s a good idea to put them on the website as well, if I ever find time.

Also, until I searched for it, I didn’t realize CUHK gets official google street view coverage. I found the location of the photo. It looks very different from the photo, but you can probably tell its the same place by looking at the tiles on the ground.

Look up for a new year

It was a few days before Chinese new year, and of course the peak season for new year shopping. Many shop fronts would be filled with red laterns, red banners, and many more new year decorations, including this one I passed by on my way to have dinner with a friend. The two ladies siting/standing on the sidewalk, looking up, probably hoping the new year to be looking up as they are right now.

Taken near January 2024. It’s on Queen’s Road West, but don’t recall the exact location. If you happen to know, let me know please.

Mirror

A giant mirror box was placed on the plaza in front of the entrance to Louvre, bringing an artificial mirage. See the street view to see this scene from a wider angle.
